Bands playing lower than you expected

Mcr should be in a pretty average spot, offspring headlining friday. Aside from that no real changes.

Madness will be better mid afternoon on a saturday, especially if it's sunny. Nice cold pint, fez, skanking.

Bit like Dizzee was last year, ideal spot if you ask me.

Hmm. I appreciate both however. Like, i enjoy Frank's music for the lyrics. But i also enjoy other bands for the music.

I think Pigeon Detectives could have maybe played higher, with two top 5 albums. Granted, their reputation has somewhat declined since then, but they've got a new album coming out, which might be alright. I don't know how Two Door Cinema Club are above them. I mean, i like some of their music and all that, they're just not that big are they..?

I think the thing with Frank Turner is that as music listeners we are either one who focuses on the music or the lyrics, & Frank is definitely one for those who're a fan of a good poet, even if the music behind it is nothing special.

Jane's Addiction do fall under that category, but other than that you're right. Of all the bands they could have had under JA - Coheed and Cambria, Black Stone Cherry, Airbourne, Alkaline Trio, Billy Talent, Skindred, Alice in Chains, Sum 41, HIM, Incubus, Rancid, Killswitch Engage, The Used, Wolfmother... To name but a few, they've instead opted for the cowardly trendy NME option. Possibly afraid that Pulp will be before the majority of the audience's time.

And are Crystal Castles a NME band? I thought the NME only liked w*nk British attempts at recapturing post-punk with pointless accented singing rather than talented dance acts..... Shows how out of touch with the idiot press I am I guess. Still, fair play to them for getting the odd band right.

Huh. I really haven't been being attention to NME's latest love affairs. Considering I got into them when NIN released Crimewave in advance of Crystal Castles supporting them on a couple of dates I never expected that.

Regardless, they're a really good band. Great variety on their albums, fantastic intensity live. I'm so pissed off they clash with Pulp. If they didn't, I'd be considering a day ticket at full price rather than hoping for desperate touts closer to the time.
