Anyone that says they hate it needs to listen to it again, and then again. It's not first love first listen album because it takes a while to get used to the fact that it's not gonna be in the same style of Is This It or Even Room On Fire. Once you can appreciate it as a different kinda style and get over the dissapointment that there's no Last Nite soundalikes on there, then you can recognise it for being a greaaat album.

And where have you read that they hate it? Casablancas has come out saying he loves it. Loves it so much that he wants to get right back in the studio next month. Angles was the album that stopped them breaking up because it made them realise that they still have so much left to give.

I still haven't read anywhere from the mouth of any band member saying they dislike anything from the album. Not having a go at you, just that the media is completely taking everything the band is saying out of context. The guardian for example is taking Valensi's quote of "I won't do the next album we make like this. No way. It was awful," which was actually in reference to how they made the album, and saying that it's about the album.

The only ones i still can't get into are "You're So Right" and "Metabolism"

But really like all of the others. "Taken for a fool" is a topper.

from videos i've seen on youtube the album sounds a lot better live than it does on CD, its a bit too clean at times.
