NME/BBCR1 Stage to " possibly double the size of last year"

I don't know about Leeds but there's hardly any room to expand the tent lengthways at Reading due to it being a main throughway. There are gaps to the side of the tent, with food stalls on the right and then a area where people sit and watch the big screen and then toilets on the left. I'd imagine that they would do away with the empty area and food stalls on the right and completely fill that area with the tent expansion and then leave the sitting area to the left.

Seen a bit of the plan for Reading 2011 today (our compound is moving from the side of O'Malley Alley up to Staff Camping in Yellow) and the footprint for the Radio 1/NME tent looks very similar to the Slam Tent (above) used at T. This is actually a 14,000 capacity tent but I believe it can be used with the sides off too giving it a higher viewing capacity.

Also it has been rotated and the stage will be at the point furthest away from the main stage facing towards it.

I'm trying to visualise being there, I'm sure that if you walked from the stage out the back of the tent (the exit with the screen above it) you'd pass the lock up on your right and straight onto the main stage. Unless the tent stage is at an angle to the back of the tent, which doesn't sound right.

Here's a 2010 map but can't make out where the stage is:

If the stage was facing the entrance and the Thames though it would be backing onto the toilets and the food stalls/bar but it was pretty flush to the back wall, if anything it was angled more towards the lock up and away from the entrance.

I agree with the space on the right hand side when walking towards the tent, that could be filled up but leave the other side where they have the big screen on the back wall.
