The best act you've ever seen at Reading or Leeds.

Thought i'd whack this on here as i'm getting bored of hearing how bad people think this years lineup is so thought it'd be a good idea to reminisce about previous years and the acts that have made your weekends.

I've only been once before so my choice is not a broad one, but it'd have to be this one song from Arcade Fire purely for the atmosphere during the first 60 seconds of that song.

for me the best has to be blink 182 this year but thats just because they were my whole childhood, their performance wasn't even that good but it was just the best feeling i've had in a long time

Surprised at the lack of Radiohead. They were bloody brilliant in 2009, easily the best band I've seen at Reading. Other mentions go to:

Radiohead 2009 is the best set I've seen, closely followed by Nine Inch Nails in 2007 (the Hurt video that's already been posted still being the single defining Reading song I've seen). Arcade Fire (Leeds R1 Tent) in 2005, Brand New (Reading R1) in 2007, Weezer (Reading Main) in 2010, Faith No More (Reading R1) in 2009, Muse (Leeds Main) in the rain in 2006, Rage Against the Machine (Reading Main) in 2008, and Metallica both (Leeds Main) in 2003 and (Reading Main) in 2008 are also worthy mentions.

When I saw Arcade Fire first announced on the line up I immediately check them out and loved. Since their amazing set at reading last year I have been hooked. I'm now going to see them at Hyde Park. Can't f**king wait.
