Reading/Leeds checklist

Hi guys, I found a site which has got loads of FAQs for Reading/Leeds festival goers which would be particularly useful for first timers! It's also got a copy of a checklist that was taken from an old sight (RFO - some of you might have heard of it) which is really handy around festival time!

The second link takes you straight to the checklist!

Hope people find this useful. Enjoy!

You do not need extra clothes. You will smell like shit anyway.

Spare socks at most (or just buy them from tescos down there).

Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat.

Gazebos (more is better), camping chair, folding bbq with coal, radio.

A lot of booze, drugs (if thats your thing), water bottle, cash, bacci, plenty of rizlas (some stored seperate incase of downpour), phone, keys.

Wet wipes, ducktape.

All you need for a comfortable festival. Make sure you stock up on logs for firemaking at the festival, bacon and sausages from onsite market for morning bbqing.

I would not advise bringing much food, seriously, you'll give up and buy it on camp by the second tin of baked beans.

If you are truly hardcore you'll do what my mate did last year. 4 crates, £5 childs tent, paper, porn, bog roll, weed. Just slept in a campchair in an awning when his tent turned out to be a good water carrier.

Seriously though take as little stuff as possible. Tent, sleeping bag, minimal food to last 2 days if going wed, spirits 24 pack of beer (or equivalent), toilet roll, wet wipes, deoderant 5 or 6 lots of underware and socks (to avoid chafing) 3 pairs of shorts 4or 5 tshirts (in case of rain).

At a push a chair, although it will get broke or stolen quite quickly.

Anything else is not needed or is considered luxury. We took so much stuff last year we didn't get it to the camp until the sat bearing in mind we got there wed. We didn't use half of the stuff. We ended up taking half of our beer back 90 cans or so. There were 3 of us.

If you run out of beer on site (leeds) 24 cans are 24quid won't break the bank.
