Second Stage

As black is the new white.

And I believe this started when they moved the Highlands Park Main Stage away from it's far superior location, which is now home to the second stage.

Artists like Rihanna, Plan B, The Script etc.... would not have been considered Main Stage material 5 years ago (especially as high up as they are) and in my opinion so many festivals this year seem back to front.

I know it's not a real festival but R1BW - Lady GaGa over the Strokes? I can see GaGa's appeal, but even in Radio 1's world this cannot be right? Nothing beats the atmosphere and presence of a live band.

Another example is Galstonbury on the Sunday (not confirmed obviosly) could be Beyonce Main and The Libertines Second Stage.

Question: Is this really a changing trend in musical genres gracing the Main Stages at festival, or purely the fact that I am getting continuously older and bitter, and sound more like my Dad as the years pass?

All feedback greatly appreciated.
