To be fair naming 183 bands as potential headliners means that he'd be likely to get it right.

whereas I named 3, got two right, and the third was playing anyway (which I said they were). It's hardly gazza level is it?

And what I posted might have been right at the time that I posted it for all anyone knows. There's that story floating around from just a couple of days back of Noel getting when he's playing changed so that he can see the Roses .... while people assumed that was about T, it might not be.

Given where the info I had came from, it's exceedingly unlikely that it was wrong at that time .... but it's not impossible that it was the result of a misunderstanding.

wow the negativity on V Festivals FB page over this line up is off the scale. Hopefully this will mean that the usual crowd will not be attending this year as although I'd sworn not to go to V Festival again, this line up is very good for me, so I'm going to try and get tickets.

Nicki shouldn't be ANYWHERE near that high, so im not sure on that, rest seems right, but I wouldn't say poor, they're all big acts for V typical fanbase

I'm the same, quite happy to pay 90 quid to see The Killers and Snow Patrol.

Looking at the first announcement if I could get any of Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran, Madness, Noah and The Whale, The enemy, The ting tings. Then I would be happy.

Yeah suppose there is that, would have been easy for Snow Patrol and Noel to swap.

I'm disaapointed in a way as would have loved to have seen Noels band but having recently seen what a grea live band Snow Patrol are I'm more than happy.

So.... no Florence and Dizzee announced. My guess of them co headlining Reading is still on.

Not being funny, but why would you even think that Noel was playing a different day to The Stone Roses

1. FACT, from the mouth of Noel: he was playing at a time which meant he couldn't see the Roses, and had it changed so he could. .... which gets to prove that what I said was not necessarily an always-wrong thing.

2. knowing who my source was, I'd have been incrediably stupid to think that what I was told was wrong.

3. I don't discount the possibility that what I was told was the result of a misunderstanding along the chain, but there's plenty of good reasons to think it was 100% correct at the time I was told it.

HAHA back at you. No you didn't, you said you was wrong and tried to make yourself feel better by bringing me being wrong moreso, someone who doesn't claim to run the most accurate boards on the net, that's FUCKING FACT DUDE! Enough said IMO.

Yep, I'm someone who claims to have the most accurate festival info in advance of announcement. And yesterday proved that's no idle boast yet again, despite the small error in the info I gave.

As for whether that error was always wrong, you've yet to show me anything that proves - or even suggests - it was. But I can show you something that suggests it wasn't.

The arrogant gloating you're doing isn't making you look any smarter.
