Mobile Broadband and Dongles

Hi there,

I am currently looking to get a new 3G Mobile Broadband deal and wondering who people recommend and who has the best deals currently? With a lot of work away starting next month, I will be on the road again over the summer so will be taking my laptop to most events. Coverage will vary depending where I am (bearing in mind a lot will be festival sites so middle of nowhere) but best overall will do.

Last year when at Reading Festival, I had my laptop with me and got a 30 day rolling contract with a Huawei E1752Cu USB Dongle from O2. I think this cost me around £15 for the month with 3GB of data (which was plenty for the amount I used it and think was a promotion at that time), so will be looking for around 1GB-2GB a month if possible.

When I got home from Reading, I didn't need the Mobile Broadband so cancelled the 30 day contract and got them to send me out a PAYG sim for my Dongle which I have never used and has been binned since anyway. I have tried to get O2 to send another out, but they are being useless as usual so thought might be worth shopping around.

I still have the dongle so not sure if another providers SIM can be simply put in this or I need to stick to their branded dongle?

So any advise is appreciated, would prefer a PAYG deal or a 30 day contract as I only really use it during the summer months (May-Sept) so no point with a 18/24 month deal

I'm on a 24 month contract with mine on 3 - 15gb a month for £15. I'm travelling a fair bit in my new job now so to have it for train/bus stretches is invaluable.
