Almost got a virus

Almost got a huge virus from this site, restarted the computer as soon as it came up and did a system scan and now all is fine, had AVG on full protection so it's obviously a strong one.

Not blaming Neil for this, know it's something to do with the adverts on here not the website in general but just thought I would warn others about it just incase it comes back again.

yeah, i just had a narrow squeak with a trojan. luckily avast aborted the connection before the page loaded.

Very scary scaryclaireyfairy. I remember the last virusgate. My Norton360 has not made a peep. Just looked and it updated 3 minutes ago.

No relevence to this site but I`ve been copped by one of these Trojan House capers..and its totally f**ked up me account. Just took over everything and i couldn`t do owt..even in Safe Mode.

Malaware software couldn`t find it.

Ended up (with good advice) having to add a new account to the PC which has got me online... but the thought its still lurking there on me PC like a dormant case of crabs..ooooooo --i just dont like it.

... all i did was nick a few apples and syphon some petrol off the disabled cars to make a few Molotovs...but look how it is now.... all these viruses and that.. eee lad. Buggers they are.

Late last night the efestivals page turned into an 'ALERT, Trojans Blah Blah' asked to 'Click Here' to correct when pressed, a unamed download appeared...just restarted the website.

especailly if it's preceded by an alert ...

the virus that some people have reported as getting from here recently - HTML:FakeWarn-A [Trj] - is, from what I've read, actually a virus that resides in a users web browser cache and shows itself randomly. Which comes to mean that it's unlikely to be something which people are getting from this site.
