As the genre boundaries continue to blur within the Techno and Bass music communities, two of the biggest nights at CityLife's 2010 venue of the year, Joshua Brooks, combine to bring you a night that fuses together elements of house, techno and bass and showcases the deeper, dubbier side to both parties.

SVEN WEISEMANN - A self-taught musician who plays piano, acoustic guitar and percussion, Weisemann also composes jazz and soundtracks. As a producer, his music draws deeply on the legacy of Chicago and Detroit, yet is informed by the traditions of his background in composition. Sven's records (released on the likes of Mojuba, Liebe*Detail, Stytrax Leaves and Apple Pips) can be described as house music that is half atmosphere and half beats, and not afraid to take their sweet time to lull the floor with their charms!

Sven will be playing an extended 3 hour set at FUSED.

WBEEZA - Hailing from South London, you would expect Wbeeza's (pronounced "Double-You-Beeza") sound to be rooted in dubstep rather than house. But his releases for Detroit-affiliated London imprint Third Ear have piqued the interest of house music devotees of all stripes. Starting out with nothing but a PC and a copy of Reason, Warren's house "sketches" soon got him requests for live performances. Infact, it is one of these engaging live shows that brought Warren to our attention at Sonar a few years ago. Physically invested, constantly moving, usually with dark glasses or a hoodie obscuring his vision, the Wbeeza live show - brought to Manchester for the very first time for FUSED - is something you can't help but dance to.

Micron have been running monthly events at Joshua Brooks for over 4.5 years and have firmly established themselves in the Manchester scene. Recent guests such as Redshape, Kiki, Santos and Danny Howells show the quality of the night, and their resident team are regularly booked to play across the country and have a slew of international dates under their belts.

Selective Hearing, a night of forward-thinking bass music, recently celebrated their first birthday at the venue. Over the past 12 months they have brought a who's who of Bass musics biggest acts to the city, including: 2562/A Made Up Sound, Scuba, Loefah Midland and Koreless.
