Hey guys

We are coming over from ireland for the gig we will be getting into birmingham about 8.00 in the morning and heading straight to weston i beleive shuttle busses run from wolverhampton somewhere anyway i take it off licensce's wont be open at that hour in the morning so we were thinking of setting up our tents and than getting the shuttle busses back into town to get some grates of beer and bring them back than... Is this possible at the v festival?? we have done this at various other festivals

You'll have no trouble getting beer at 8am in Wolves

By the time you get to Wolverhampton the off license will be open. Theres a massive Sainsbury around the corner from the bus pick up point. Do a cheap fry as well. I'm sure ill see you on the flight tho

It's deffo worth trying with it being £4 a pint in the arena. If you do get it in tho put it in a paper cup, had a tinny took off me by a jobsworth steward last year

the drink tokens for t in the park was £3.90

Pretty unlikely you'd be allowed to walk into the arena with that, even if it was one of the "offical" cups.

I can't remember the last time I brought a drink in the arena... I stopped buying the year I realised i'd paid the same amount for 3 wrongbows as it cost me to buy a whole crate from Asda

This worked a treat over the years at V fest for me

1. Buy some small cartons of orange juice. (The tetra pack shaped ones) they are usually 200ml in size.

2. Turn a carton upside down and lift carefully one of the flaps.

3. Underneath the lifted flap puncture a miniature hole.

4. Get a syringe (the ones included with refill kits for printer ink cartridges are the best)

5. Take out about 60 ml of orange from the hole with the syringe.

6. Replace the orange with 60ml of Vodka.

7. Tape over the hole with a tiny bit of duct tape or electrical tape.

8. Fold down the flap back into place on the bottom of the carton covering the tape/ hole you have just made.

9. Place sellotape over the bottom of the carton to hold down the loosened flap.

10. Voila! A carton of vodka and orange with the straw still stuck to it and the little silver drink hole still in place.
