Ed209
Tool seriously kick ass top of my list of the bands I've never seen live that I absolutely must. This is bloody hard. Here's a top 5, it would be different everytime, but ... feeling yourself disintegrate - flaming lips song of life - leftfield Jeremy - Pearl Jam misstra know it all - Stevie Wonder comfortably numb - Floyd
Purple Monkey
That's a particularly good track from a very particular band. Edited April 22, 2011 by Purple Monkey
worm
Isn't it. I'd stick 10,000 Days in my top five albums of all time aswell, but Right In Two is one of the most powerful, visual songs I've ever heard. I love Tool's ability to delve deep without an ounce of bullshit or pretence. Without trying to sound like a pretentious arse myself, they're like the musical equivalent of George Orwell to me. Ed209
I don't have a f**king clue what you're talking about what I do know though is that the first time I listened to tool (a mate played me aenima when it first came out) it changed my perspective on music like nothing else has. Strangely, I find it the best music I own to work to. If I need to totally focus and nail some work then I always turn to tool. brighteyes
Tool are another one that I've never got in to, that I should have mentioned in that other thread. I remember being incredibly bored every time the 'Schism' video was played when I was 15/16 and watched MTV2 all day round my friend Putnam's house. I think it was MTV2 anyway. No idea what kind of crap you're talking about above, but maybe I'll give Tool another go today whilst I do some work.

Ed209
Because you're a maths guy. Nah, if you'd read Jung or Zola you'd perhaps understand. Tool intentionally use Jungian philosophy in their lyrics. The Third Eye and The Shadow that they constantly refer to are Jungian concepts. Tool are very literary. worm
Zola's that ex-Chelsea player, and the third eye is what piss and jizz comes out of, right? Prying it open sounds brutal to me. Sick f**ks

big joe
Preposterously difficult to answer but i'll have a go. Bit surprised more people havent chosen more than one song by particular artists. Anyway.... Actually, this will be nonsense because i dont really have favourite songs, its more the albums they are on. Come Together - The Beatles Dont Look Back In Anger - Oasis Rebecca You - The Coral Colombia - Oasis I cant even think of a fifth. What song do i like at the moment? Nothing Else Matters - Metallica S&M Live
