Hi all, I'm bringing my 12 year old lad with me this year, first time at Sonisphere for both of us although we did download last year and again this, albeit in the campervan field!! In the family field for Soni, whats it like compared to download? Didn't fancy camping at Download, not that brave (insane). ANy tips greatly received.

I went last year and camped very close to the main arena in the normal campsite and I have to say it was the most placid festival experience I've ever had.

Much quieter than Download or Reading that's for sure!

I would imagine camping in the family field would be fine for a 12 year old - don't quote me on that though.....

Hi, we camped in family last year and had no problems whatsoever. It seemed to be pretty quiet as you would expect. The entrance to the camp is very close to the main entrance to the festival and carparks so no massive walks like I experienced at Download last year! There was no trouble where we were and very family friendly! Enjoy!!
