We had a thread last year where everybody posted which tents/gazebos etc they were taking and one for people with campervans, couldn't find them so with only 8 weeks to go I think we should have a new joined up one. Post pictures of what you will be staying in on here or want to be in, questions about what to get, deals etc

This is my brand new sparkly tent, got it for £50 in the winter sales. My tesco tent got a bit bent out of shape after 5 years of use, so it's my first time having a 'brand' tent. Looks a beaut.

Can't decide whether to use this:

Gelert 6 man Skydome(£50 ebay last year)

or this: Campus Montego 4-man(£23 ebay this year)

Gelerts got a larger sleeping area but the living space in the Montego much bigger?

also poundland got some great little solar post lamps for a quid each - weigh nothing and great for light up camp area.

ATM this lil beauty its a great tent, not failed me in two fests BUT it is bit cramped with two people, so thinking about getting either one of those adventure tarps for it orrrr upgrading to something new

This is my little beauty...weighs just over 2kg (important for me as I have to take it on a plane) and has two vestibules so can open both sides for a bit of a breeze in the morning...

Theese are good for charging phones, running 12v tent lights, powering radio, ect. but useless for powered cooler

Here is why

This site puts says that battery has a capacity of 17Ah (Amp Hours) this would be in perfect condition and with a full charge.

I don't know much about powered coolers but halfords has this one that I'll use to illustrate the point and that has a power rating of 40W (Watts) to get the current (amp) rating for this we need to use the formula Watt÷Volts (in this case it is a 12v cooler) so it will have a current rating of 3.3˚ A

Now a battery with a 1Ah (Amp Hour) rating will power a device with a 1A current rating for 1 hour so in the case of the cooler and battery linked the battery will power the cooler for approx. 5 [17÷3.33} hours. so in short not worth bothering with any kind of powered cooler at glasto unless of course your in a camper with several very large(and very heavy) leisure batteries

This was the smallest footprint tent I could find that allowed me to stand up in - a little bit big for 1, but allows me to have a double airbed! OK so I am old and my bones creak, doesn't mean I cant go to Glastonbury does it?
