I took a campervan to Belladrum last year and pitched a tent next to it without too much bother. Planning on taking the van to Rockness and wandered if anyone on here had done that before. Planning on putting the gazebo up as a bit of an awning but its 2m wide. just wandered if i would get grief from the stewards

There is actually something on the Rockness website about pitching tents in the caravan area...because that's what we wanted to do.

CAMPERVANS

If you are planning to bring a campervan or caravan to RockNess this year you must purchase a full weekend camping ticket and a separate campervan & caravan ticket.

Please note, you must follow all event signage when approaching the site and all campervans and caravans will enter via GATE 5. You will then be directed to your pitch in the field.

Please note you cannot pitch a tent in this field at the request of the fire marshal.This is a greenfield site and therefore is bumpy in places. All vehicles enter the site at owners risk

Yeah you get that blurb at most festivals i would imagine. pretty sure you would get off with it as long as you dont have a huge tent

Ahh right! We were just going to get a normal van (not caravan) and camp outside it, so I'm glad we decided against it. Got a HUGE tent instead

On another note, does anyone know where you can hire caravans or mobile homes for a reasonable price? I'm not fussed about all the mod cons, just as long as it's clean and not ridiculously expensive!
