I remain a European on this New Year Morning.

There is no music in the world better than Jamaican music.

Been on a total Lee Perry trip again this evening.

This one always stands out for me.

 It is all about that refrain:

Bahhhhh..., Ba Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bahhhhh..... Bah Bahhh.

It is imprinted on my brain, in my very soul, it is in my dreams and all my waking hours, I carry it like a walking staff to help me on my way. Always there somehow to help me through my day..

There is also the excellent documentary that popped up on My YouTube recently which is well worth a watch if you have the time.

Played my home town in 2013. What a night that was, ALL my BEST friends were there. It is a good job that someone filmed this and posted it, else I think I would have just thought I dreamt it.....

More sad news I'm afraid.

The mighty Daddy U-ROY, 'the originator' passed this week.

Hard to exaggerate how important this guy was to music.

This form 1970 is utterly timeless:

This is the first song Bunny Wailer wrote, age 16, he says it took him years to write. 

It remains something of a high point in that it imparts a richness of ideas to all humanity.

I feel we all need to talk more here about Reggae. 

I feel we do.

Boris Johnson is the same age as me, yet, it seems, he grew up ignorant of this music, while for me it was everything.

Am currently in hospital I think I might have found hospital heaven. Woke up this morning to a nurse blaring out John Holt so told my sty about seeing his last ever show he collapsed on stage and died a few weeks later.
