bamber
Again I've put this up here before, but again, some things never get old. RIP THE man The Heptones, The Congos & Junior Murvin at Sctatch's Black Arc studio circa 1977. This is actual magic.
bamber
And this is the best documentary on the man, A conquering tower of a MAN. The greatest to ever do it. The Upsetter, Lee Scratch Perry.
blutarsky
This thread is something else. 438 posts of roots reggae, rocksteady and dub from @bamber. Almost all my favourite music traces its roots to these musicians so I love it. Remembering the godfather of ska here, gone for 5 years now. This song accurately sums up my mood whenever I hear it! I do think he was a genius, even at 80+ his final albums (Rainford & Heavy Rain) were superb.

bamber
At it's height, Black Ark Studio was producing around 20 tunes every week. They did this for more than five years. There are so many masterpieces from this period, it is embarrassing? Not to Scratch.
