Speed Camera Question

Bit random & pointless but it's bugging me...

I was driving along yesterday and I drove past 2 speed camera's both withing about a quarter of a mile of each other, probably less, which got us talking about what would happen if you got caught speeding by both camera's?

Would you get 1 ticket or 2? I'd argue that as they are so close together you have esentially been caught twice for commiting the same single offence but somehow I can't see that happening in reality.

Can anyone shed any light?

Ye friend of mines dad got done twice by same camera in same day. It was one that sits in middle of road between the 2 carriageways and can be pointed in either direction. Got done in the morning going to destination, camera turned round during day and he got done again coming back. Two fines and two sets of points!

Yeah you get the same if you drive in buslanes for too long - was a lot of fuss in the local Reding papers a while ago because people kept getting caught driving to and out of a bus only part near the stations. They doubled up on the fines...
