Hi guys. New to download - to be fair Im only going for SOAD. Got a day ticket for Saturday - driving up, got a car park ticket. Has anyone been for the day and kipped in their car for the night?? Whats the security like for the car park? Will they kick off if they see me plus 1 kipping in the car???

Well last year I got a call on my mobile to tell me that I had left the car sunroof open, so there are certainly security patrols around the car park during the day. But at night ? I don't actually know, but I would think so.

Whether they would bitch about you kipping in the car, I don't know. I would probably chance it and say that you needed to sleep of some beer before driving. I mean they can't really tell you to drive away if you may be over the limit can they ? . . . . or can they ?

Its seen as a safety risk and if they see you, they will ask you to leave if its by foot or in your car!!

As there is only one car park this year, I think you will really be risking it. Drive down to Ashby, there are a few laybys and car parks you can park in overnight if you can't get a hotel.

My friend actually got told off by security when he went to get some stuff from the car because we forgot to put a phone number on the car park ticket!! They said they'd already had to call loads of people for having their car doors and windows open, sat navs still on the dash board and phones on the seats!! At least they look after your car!! ;)

There was something on the Download page on facebook today from the Leicester constabulary saying that they will be patroling again this year in uniform and plain clothes, but whether they look in every car i don't know but i do know they patrol quite a bit, they rang me last year to say i had left some lighter fluid on the front seat i said the car door is open just put it in the glove compartment please.
