Medina
I thought Eddi Reader was terrific and, much to my amazement, The Wurzels were also highly enjoyable (and I never thought I'd be saying that!). Pity about the weather on the Sunday which dampened spirits but there's nothing anyone can do about that. Weather apart, Wychwood 2011 was another very friendly, very relaxed, superbly organised and highly enjoyable Festival. Congratulations to Graeme and all who put it together. Rebexus
Here here Medina - I agree - wonderfully chilled festival. My highlights: Neville Staple (Fab) Chapelier Fou (weirdly amazing) Cornershop - much better than I expected. Transglobal Underground (had to drag ourselves away for the long drive home) Baraka (sadly clashed with the above) The Christians Dance workshops were fun. John Cooper Clarke was great (but sound was a bit duff there) Kids loved Justin Fletcher, mask making and the other crafty stuff. FINALLY got to the Headphone disco and it was brilliant. Missed the Bluetones and Robin Ince due to kids needing sleep but had a great time. Thanks organisers!
Banana Co
Did anyone catch the name of the band who were doing covers of songs before the comedy, in the stagefright bar? Edited June 8, 2011 by Banana Co
dai666
Neville Staples was the highlight for me, never skanked so hard in my life! And got to meet him afterwards!! Charlatans were very good, better than i remember, the wurzels made me smile despite the rain! Charlie Baxter on the bbc introducing stage blew my mind! Mainstage next year? eFestivals
my favourite part of the weekend was, very unfortunately, cups of lemsip. I spent most of my time in bed with dreadful man-flu.
