Tangerine Fields

Anyone used the tangerine fields at Rockness before? I notice on the map that its the furthest camping point away from the main arena so will be relatively quiet but we wont get there til late on the Friday so don't want to have to search for a space to pitch up.

Any reviews, good/bad? Every other year I've been with a fairly big group of mates in the maion camping area, but there's only 2 of us this year.

I thought the tangerine fields already had the tents up? And you just paid to use for for the weekend

Aye, sorry -meant that I dont want to search for a place to pitch up and then pitch up - basically want to just dump the bags and crack open the cans hassle free. Anyone used them before?

We had tangerine fields a couple of years ago and they were really good. You go to the main tent and then the staff will carry your bags to where your tent is. Everything was ready including air beds and sleeping bags!

You can't pitch your own tent in tangerine fields though so you can't pitch up in there at all!

I've used it at Leeds & plan to use TF at TITP this year too - it's always been hassle free & IMO worthwhile if you are arriving late etc...

It will definitely be a quieter experience than general camping

That being said - I'm not using TF at Rockness because I've never found camping to be too insane there. Maybe I've just been lucky - but we've always managed to camp in relative space & peace by just picking a space further away from the arena entrance.

Cheers folks, thats it booked up now. Sorry for the confusion - what I meant earlier was I was going to TF because I wont need to pitch up, just drop my bags and chill for a bit after the drive up.
