jump
I blame Gazza for Red Hot Chili Peppers being shit live, John Peel dying and Florence + The Machine being so popular. HOW DARE YOU!

AcademicPistol
I also heard they found Gazza's DNA on the guns that killed Kurt Cobain & John Lennon.
mrtourette
I heard Gazza just got sent down for four years for killing Michael Jackson.
she bangs the drums
I blame Gazza for Reading and Leeds line up becoming poorer by the year, less rock and metal and more NME fodder.
AcademicPistol
He also had a big part to play in the current global economic crisis.

Rancidpunk_76
So, back on topic, anyone know if Rancid being booked for Rebellion might effect a Soni appearance? Also, what would constitute a "Punk Big 4"? As mentioned above, a bunch of 00's pop bands would be arse.

AcademicPistol
The punk big 4 would be Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41, NoFx and maybe Rancid but i think Gazza has stopped that from happening now.
jump
I think people are getting the wrong end of the stick with The Big 4, they weren't the 4 biggest metal bands they were the 4 bands that shaped the metal scene at the same time. Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Blink etc were a 2nd wave of punk in America that happened after Green Day, NoFX, Offspring etc made it big around 10 years before they emerged. AcademicPistol
I'm pretty sure that with jump's post below, common sense stopped it from happening. Haha you have Sum 41 3rd on a bill. LOL is all.
Sparticus
You know what if they went ahead with the whole big four punk day gimmick i'd buy a ticket just to support them for doing something different. Download was cool but the whole ethos of metal metal metal prodigy pendulum metal metal metal is bollocks in my book. A couple of ska acts like less than jake and bosstones, lower down the bill, sorted!
gazza_20
Here he is! lol. It wasn't in order Gaz but here would be my order because i know you like it that way (please note it's not the order of how much i like them but the order that i think they would appear). Headline: Green Day Sub: Blink 182 3rd: Offspring 4th: NoFx 5th: Sum 41 (guests not part of "big 4") But i doubt that would ever happen. (ps Blink have been around since 92 so they weren't that far behind the others).
mrtourette
You might wanna remember big 4 includes only 4 bands!!!
AcademicPistol
That's probably why he said "guests not part of big four". When the real Big 4 played Sonisphere there were five bands on the bill.

gazza_20
To be fair, QOTSA toured with Soundgarden abroad. Soundgarden with QOTSA headlining saturn stage I reckon is an option?

gazza_20
Sounds like Isle of Wight and a show in Manchester only. Rumoured to be in Scandinavia over Sonisphere weekend.
thejimbola
wouldn't be so sure, latest efests comments point towards the alarm headlining IOW, it's been said to set your alarms and what's mike peter's doing these days. And all subs have gone.
