why is everyone concentrating on the lateness? when the biggest issue with GnR is that Axl simply cant cut it any more? he is bloated, old and his voice is simply shot to fuck.

they are a sideshow, and a full reunion (with axl in his current state of health/mind) would be a disaster of the highest order.

I intend on doing soni again next year, but GnR wouldn't make me buy a ticket.

I also don't understand why the general festie going public get all in a froth over reunions of other bands that should have packed it in years ago. I seriously expect that Sabbath are going to embarrass themselves at Donington. I was there the last time they played, and Ozzy was a fucking shambles.

Yeah I'm not too keen on seeing Sabbath for that reason alone, which is why (besides The Prodigy - who'll no doubt tour anyways) Download isn't doing it for me.

As for Axl, I haven't seen him live, so I can't comment on my own experiences, but the video link I posted last page of him doing Civil war seemed incredibly well done, and I heard good things from his own shows and Leeds as far as the band and himself were sounding. I'd definitely still watch them to find out...hopefully they'd have some good bands on in the tents in case they are late/sound shit though :P

I wouldn't want to watch Axl and his touring band, the lateness is beyond a pisstake and like the other fella on this page said, Axl is way past it now, I'm pretty sure it isn't even Axl anymore, Keith Lemon has taken his place :L Agreed about Sabbath, they will probs be dire. I hope Bullet get given the chance to headline.

I hope LP aren't back at Soni, or Rammstein. Not because i dislike them, but purely because that means out of the four years soni would have been in existence, Rammstein and LP have headlined two of those years, plus Metallica doing the same. Its pretty lazy imo if they keep inviting acts back again and again, plus its not as exciting for the fans if the same group of bands are continually booked. GNR, Tool & Bullet im gunna say.

KISS! The third would be KISS.

And Tool not playing Rock AM Ring means nothing the whole deal of them playing Download would be as Black Sabbaths guests, Black Sabbath aren't playing Rock AM Ring, but playing their own show in Germany the Monday after Rock AM Ring finishes.

That being said, still doesn't mean Tool are subbing or anything else in fact. Everything seems completely wide open at the moment, the only thing im sure of that hasn't been announced is Download has Trivium and Soni has Killswitch.

I think Evanescence will be at Download too. The rest, jesus anyone could be playing anywhere, there seems so many acts touring next summer, looks like its gunna be some great fests.

Nah Im not saying the others, Im thinking Linkin Park at Reading and defo not thinking Guns N Roses are playing.

Just think its likely Kiss will be at Soni.

Not at Download, won't be at Reading, High Voltage looks like its off, only other possible is Hard Rock Calling I suppose, cus they have said they'll be over here

Tool headlined download the last time they played, and haven't toured here since that year, I seriously doubt they would have subbed at Download next year - they haven't gotten smaller, and the headliner budget this year will already have been massive, people thinking that was likely are insane...almost more insane than the people thinking GNR could play Download next year or Van Halen (and yes, I've seen both suggested for subs).

Anyways, Soundgarden seemingly doing the earlier round of festivals makes them less likely for Reading I'd have thought. I know Matt is busy with Pearl Jam over Soni weekend, but he's free on the Friday, and for all we know due to both touring this Summer, Pearl Jam or Soundgarden might have a stand in drummer. I don't think Linkin Park will be at Sonisphere, wouldn't surprise me if they just did their own standalone show or a few shows, could see them doing some of the EU sonis though.

Tool is wishful thinking, they dont give a shit about UK fans, coming from a massive tool fan whos fed up of being let down by them touring the US over and over and never crossing the pond :P

KISS seem quite likely and maybe LP who knows, its anyone guess atm.

To be honest, Linkin Park headlined in 08 and haven't returned so wouldn't it back it 2 out of 5?

You maybe right about Tool. It seems Download don't have them and with the latest RAR announcement without Tool on it. Surely they would be if they were playing it.

As said, US tour early year, possible Soni tour and then UK dates later in the year.

If R&L don't have them, Linkin Park, Tool and Guns N' Roses is pretty big. Though luckysalt posed that he had info from a source, not like the best like but that Soni had 3 headliners who haven't before. Guns would be 1, Tool would be another, the 3rd, hmmm?

Other than that, Green Day instead of LP would be top.
