This has to be one of the wierdest tractors of all time.

Salvaged from death by rust in a Brazil warehouse, freighted to the UK by sea in 2000, and, after two years being renovated, this extraordinary machine is a cross between a small submarine and a missile. It is believed to be the only complete and running example of the 300 or so Porsche tractors designed to work on coffee plantations and exported to Brazil.

Another 'streamlined' tractor by Porsche - for working in orchards to avoid tangling with tree branches..

Must be something to do with not damaging the coffee bushes as it drives down between the rows

I never thought of that Bathimp. I don't think my brain's in gear today. My mind is too busy with Glasto preparation thoughts. I'm trying not to bring too much stuff which I'll never use, which is normally the case. The list of things still seems endless though.

On the wierd and wonderful this is a Lantz Bulldog with a single cylinder 'hot bulb' 6 litre engine. Very popular in Germany in the 20s and 30s.
