Bathimp
Cant manage to pinch the other number plate from Flicker so here is the MF in action instead. That blue thing looks like something out of Thomas the Tank Engine Oneeye. It is two tractors or one?

Yoghurt on a Stick
Well, it's a tasty looking bit of kit. Loving the cantilevered engine block.

Bathimp
What is it about that 'see through' drivers seat thing that makes this MF so funky? I think I need to put more Massey Ferguson stuff on my Christmas list!

Yoghurt on a Stick
Beautiful looking machine you posted oneeye. Here's an Old Farnall 230 tractor (another new make?). You can just about make out the 230 (I think!). Not sure I'd like to spend all day bouncing up and down on that metal seat though.
oneeye
Another lovely example Yoghurt; I agree you'd need a cushion or 2 to protect your nobbies It's the same model as my post but yours has got it's front wheels open wide (I think they are adjustable) where as mine remains as a 'tricycle'. I think you may be right - a new make!

oneeye
I was in a bit of a rush earlier so didn't notice it was the same model as yours. I think it was the front wheel(s) that threw me. I accidently found out that my girlfriend had been on the John Deere website yesterday. I think there's a John Deere product in line for me this Christmas. Hope it's a t shirt! Bathimp
Very impressed with all the detail this week guys. You've really taken this to another level. Tricky one today. Here is a Claas WM20-229 nameplate. Along with a picture of this fine grass cutter. No respectable tractor or festival owner should be seen without one. oneeye
Agree with you Bathimp, a tricky one today; Good effort with finding the CLAAS I've managed this CASE tractor; 229 is PART of it's model number lol Edited November 8, 2012 by oneeye
Yoghurt on a Stick
Unfortunately I don't have the time to trawl the net at the moment so can't find anything with numerical markings. I can give you this though - it's a Super All Traction 23° F229 Tractor Rear (R-1) wheel; To make up for my shame I also offer you a photo of an unusual looking beast of a machine for your pleasure;

Yoghurt on a Stick
Re: Tractor wheels I once was driving up a hill near an industrial estate when a lorry much further up hit the kerb. The load he was carrying (a single very large tractor wheel) simply rolled off the back of his lorry and started bouncing down the road at me like a Barnes Wallis bomb. Luckily I managed to avoid it but had it hit me through the windscreen it probably would have killed me.

Yoghurt on a Stick
Thats not the sort of tractor wheel that I like. Glad that you survived to tell the tale.
oneeye
Thanks Bathimp. I must attract these moments as I had another incident with a lorry and it's load. I was driving to catch a ferry to Ireland when a lorry driving the other way turned a bend in the road. As he did so the massive steel girder he was carrying simply slid off the back of his lorry and missed hitting my car by inches. I'd never have survived if that thing had hit me straight on. It was rather a memorable trip that one because I also drove on to the ferry, got drunk at the bar and was incapable of driving off the ferry at the other end. Fortunately my brother hadn't indulged like I had so he was able to drive the car off the ferry.
