eFestivals
I am right in assuming that the hearing this afternoon is going to be televised? please say it is. Yep - you can watch it online or on TV on the BBC News Channel. Personally I suspect it'll be a damp squid.
eFestivals
So the NOTW whistleblower has been found dead and police aren't treating it as suspicious...... What? 'What?' indeed! The one man who has put himself forwards as a witness to events (rather than all the evidence so far coming from NI documentation), and who puts the PM's lacky Coulson squarely in the frame winds up dead on a 'big news day', and it's not suspicious. So 'not suspicious' that the TV news is heavily under-playing it. Isn't it funny how witnesses to major govt wrong-doing are ending up dead? First David Kelly, and now this guy. You couldn't make it up.

eFestivals
Dunno if it'll be a damp squid with Big Rupes in town?! there's little he can say that will make NI look any better, so I reckon his choice will be to say very little. He'll give a grovelling apology tho, and do his best to appear genuine.
The Nal
A grovelling apology from Big Rupes isnt a damp squid though? Worth a watch certainly!
eFestivals
I was under the impression that this site was moderated because the people (person?) who owns it and runs it wants it to be of a certain type as much as for legal reasons. the primary reason is the legal one; if this site isn't attending to the legalities then it's ultimately in no position to be doing anything else. As for the other part you mention, that definitely exists, on the basis that you can't please all of the people all of the time so why try doing so. By 'directing' things in a particular direction I hope to ensure that enough people find what others post both relevant and interesting enough that they want to revisit to read more &/or contribute to the discussions themselves. eFestivals
A grovelling apology from Big Rupes isnt a damp squid though? Worth a watch certainly! It is a damp 'un - after all, that's what everyone expects anyway. It'll only be properly riveting if he spills the full beans, which isn't going to happen. lost
The new 'journalists' are us... Twitter, Mumsnet, Facebook... etc. Although, I imagine there'll always be a place for real journalism with papers like The Guardian and Independent. fatyeti24
Snr doesn't seem to remember too much and Junior is talking as much as he can while saying next to nothing.
Alcatraz
Rupert seems to forget the important things and remember the immaterial. How convenient. I imagine any shareholder of News Corp watching this will be writing to him asking him to stand down right now.
The Nal
Big Rupes doesn't give a f**k here. Expecting him to remember finite details of his HUGE company is silly. This is pointless. Its like capturing an 80 year old Nazi war criminal. Hes lived his life. Getting him at the end is no good.
fatyeti24
most MPs are making it too easy for them. too many rambling questions and allowing rambling answers, particularly from Jnr. they won't get another chance to get these two on the rack, i'd imagine, so make the bloody most of it!
