plusjkb
Do it! I went to Green Man Festival on my own last year. Being on your own kinda forces you more into making new friends. Met loads of people on train and on coach, ended up camping with two scientists I met on coach who I was trying to explain acids and alkalis to (long story) and camped with them and their mates. Long story short, one of the best festivals I've ever been to. The best thing is you don't feel like you have to hang out with them all weekend and you can go and see what you want to see. elfweirdigan
what plusjkb said You'll never have more of a chance to be truly yourself than on your own at a festival. If you do end up having a lonely / anxious half hour in your tent, don't worry - that's normal too. Go to sleep for a bit, then get up and carry on
elfweirdigan
Oh, and Weirdigans cafe is a really calm, cosy safe space with carpets and cushions for sitting and chilling and chatting and meeting interesting folk, so if it's all a bit busy at the stages but you're not ready for sleep, come see us
