Poleski
I'm a pretty patriotic person so seeing a Scottish band headline a festival is a big deal for me. Rumours have been flying about that they will be headlining TITP next year. I couldn't think of a more epic headliner for TITP as I'm sure the crowd would absolutely love it. I'd rather have a worthy scottish act headlining rather than one that doesn't quite seem to have made it yet though. Did they pull it off at Sonisphere this year? Looking at the bill it was clear to see where the weak link was in terms of headliners...

Bisque
Better than 2 weeks earlier at Glastonbury if you managed to catch them there. Plus the weather was better. They proved a lot of metal fans wrong (although I still think that they were only really headlining as Soni ran out of money getting Big 4 & Slipknot). gary1979666
I thought they did a really great job - some great sing along tunes, some good dirty rock songs and a bit of a show too - more than enough stuff for a headline set. Would be happy to see them top the bill again. They aren't a metal headliner, but they never claimed to be, but have had a lot of stick in the build up to the fest - hopefully they won a lot of people round. Bisque
& I met a lot of Scots last weekend. Probably 1 in 5 people.
Poleski
To be fair a lot of Scottish people do go to the likes of Download and Sonisphere anyway as we don't have any sort of rock festival north of the border. Biffy definitely will have pulled more fans down south for it though. Sounds like a great weekend at Sonisphere though. If Biffy don't end up playing at TITP then I may make a wee trip to Knebworth! the_hedge
I thought they smashed it and was a nice break from the heaviness of the Friday and Sunday headliners who also smashed it I might add.
Stalemate
Honestly I thought they were very average, why they headlined I'll never understand.

gooner1990
The crowd was no where near the sizes of Slipknot and Metallica.

Yorkiebar888
I was at first asking why they had been booked as headliners and was very sceptical. Saw them a few times at reading and had enjoyed it but thought they weren't headline material. Saw them open for foo's last Sunday at Milton Keynes and thoroughly enjoyed so thought I would give them a chance again.... Oh my how my first thoughts had been blown away and I had been made to look a plank! They were simply incredible, great to have a chilled out headliner compared to metallica and slipknot where I could watch them without the threat of being killed by a pit every 2 mins. Definitely a shock to what I was expecting put on a fantastic show and now I can't wait to see them again! ampersand
That probably expains why every other person I talked to at the fest was Scottish.

The60ftOctopus
I had seen them before and I was skeptical at them headlining, but they pulled it off. They did a great set and I was actually really impressed.
