Alcatraz
I've heard 6 of them. I enjoyed Build A Rocket Boys the most on reflection, but that's partly because it sounded mint when I saw them in March. I'd probably vote for Metronomy, but if they are going to let someone win twice, you can bet it would be PJ Harvey
ampersand
I can't admit to hearing all of these albums, but of the ones I have listened to, Anna Calvi gets my vote. A great voice, amazing guitar work and a really great album.

rexclark
Can't say I'm really interested. I enjoyed the Elbow album and I like what I've heard from Everything Everything but I haven't really heard many of the other albumsmuch is my interest in new music really. Uncle Liam
Metronomy or James Blake are the only sensible choices. I still cant believe people like Elbow these days.

brighteyes
I do like Elbow's earlier albums but only listen to them every other year. I don't understand why they're w*nked over so much, the music is nice but he has a boring voice.

windy_miller
This. I was beginning to think I'm the only person who can't stand them, either live or on record.
OneLittleFish
The King Creosote & Jon Hopkins album is really beautiful, deserves to win.
Chiefski
Called PJ Harvey a few month back (see the gambling thread), certainly hope she would win out of that lot.
The Nal
That time of the year again where I'm completely baffled as to why this prize and ceremony gets any attention. Can someone explain it to me? Its the saddest most un rock and roll thing in modern music. Industry lead nonsense. "The Barclaycard Mercury Prize". For f**ks sake. Robert Wyatt called it a disgrace or something a few years back. I'm with him. Edited July 21, 2011 by The Nal
JC-Mo'Fucka
Im gonna be upset if anyone but ghostpoet wins it. Peanut butter blues and melancholy jam has been my life for the past couple of months. Would reccomend to anyone who likes dub/rap - a bit like roots manuva but not as dance-y.
