As we approach our 5th Birthday (which, for the mathematically challenged, will be our 60th monthly event without a single break!) we decided to look back on the year that has passed since that incredible night with Danny Howells back in November 2010. We think it's been our biggest and best year yet. We've had gigs in Russia, Serbia and Amsterdam as well as starting up our London parties again, and the calibre of guests at our Manchester parties speak for themselves: Redshape, Kiki, Santos, Matthias Tanzmann to name just a few.

Then we realised a few things. Firstly, we haven't had a residents party since December, and as a clubnight that was built around it's residents since the very beginning, that needs sorting ASAP! Secondly, what does the future hold for Micron?

Well if club land history (and reading Mixmag from an early age because we were too young to get into clubs, or buy porn) has taught us anything, it's that clubs go one of two ways: Mix CDs, VIP sections and branded sports drinks, or slowly peter out into a distant memory. Aside from the oft-discussed Gaz Chubb compilation volume 1, we don't want either of these things to happen to something we've worked so hard to create.

So, after our best year to date we have decided to go out with a bang! New Years Eve 2011/12 will be the FINAL MICRON EVENT. That means there are just SIX parties left, and as we're ending with a residents NYE event, we're starting the run of six with a residents only August event too!

As a special treat we're extending the free entry until MIDNIGHT so get down to Joshua Brooks and clap your hands if you like Techno!
