99 for me, only watched 4 bands the whole weekend plus Roni Size but that was just a dj set. They were The Chemical Brothers, Pitchshifter, Fun Lovin' Criminals(who i didn't really care about), RHCP who were shockingly BAD.

Cant believe the amount of people sayin 2004 was the worst! Its certainly a hell of a lot better than this year which i think is definately the worst ive ever seen, only about 3 bands i would watch! 2009 was terrible as well. Thats the reasons why i didnt go at all in 09 and havent considered goin at all this year. But i had a great time at 04 was loads of great bands on the smaller stages! Tryin to rememebr who all i seen that year, lookin at the lineup reckon it was :

Ikara Colt, Pink Grease, Hundred Reasons, The Wildhearts, The Donnas, Peaches, Danko Jones, Offspring, The Darkness

The 5,6,7,8's, Young Heart Attack, The Bronx, The Icarus Line, New York Dolls, 80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Blanche, Roxy Saint, Mondo Generator, Mark Lanegan

Minus, Thrice, The 22-20's, Lost Prophets, Placebo, Auf Der Maur, Green Day.

Yep that lineup pisses all over this year and 09!!

I suspect you have just aged 7 years and therefore aren't into as many if the lesser known bands on the other stages

Someone 7 years your junior will love this years line up for the same reason you loved 04. When I went in 98/99, I spent mist of my time between the then (I think) dr martins tent and melody maker tents, 5/6 years later there were only 1-2 I'd watch in the then carling tent. Interestingly you are 7 years younger than me, so perhaps this year is indeed your equivalent of my 2004!

Why is 2005 so far down your list?

2005 is the best year that I've been - 6 future headliners (so far) played that year, and there really was a tremendous strength in depth that year.

For me the last 8 years (since I started in 03) would go, from best to worst:

2005

2008

2010

2009

2003

2007

2006

2004

That said 2005 and 2008 are above the others, and 2004 is definitely at the bottom. The 5 in the middle (and on occasion 2008) could easily be switched around depending on which bits I'm remembering from the year.
