It will be my first time at V festival, and I'm going in a group of around 15 people, however, we are all travelling separately and therefore will arrive at different times. My idea was that the people who are setting off first should take everybody's tents so that we can pitch together, and when the others arrive they meet us where we've pitched the tents. Does anyone know whether they allow this?

Hi Megdun,

Yes this is certainly allowed; we did this in 2007 and 2008 when the site opened on the Thursday. A few of us wnet down Thursday and the rest came on Friday but we already had their tents sorted.

I would highly recommend it as keeping space for people can be difficult. If you get there before lunch on Friday you won't have a problem but after that it fills up pretty sharpish.

Wait onen more question! What if we pitch the tents, and when my friends arrive the campsite we're in is full, even though they have no tents, will they still allow them to come in?

Yes don't worry...........once they have their wristbands on they can go in any campsite they want, the bands don't designate a colour campsite like at Hylands Park so your friends will be able to just stroll in and join the fun in their already sorted tents...........lucky sods!!
