If you go early can you choose where to park?

Hi, this will be my first time at V fest and I've been looking at which is the best campsite. We wanna camp in blue and are gonna get there really early to park, like bang on when the carparks open at 8am on friday (only going from birmingham). However I've seen some people say that if you get there really early then you can't choose where you want to park, as the stewards fill up the carparks furthest away from the campsites first. This doesn't seem fair to those who have made the effort to get up early and get the best parking. Is this true and can't you just tell the stewards you want to park in a specific area? (East carparks)

I've also seen people say that the east carparks are for day ticket holders only. I really hope this isn't true because I don't wanna have to make a massive trek from the carpark to the campsite when we've made the effort to get up early! And we really want to stay in blue.

Any help and advice will be appreciated! :)

Hi, it depends which direction you are coming from as to which car park they put you in (it has happened generally like this the last few years since the 2nd Stage changed). If you are coming from Birmingham along the A5 then they will probably put you in South / East. From the South they will probably put you in south 4 and West. From the A41 it will probably be a choice of North or West.

The benefit you get of getting their early is that you will be at the front of the car park but mainly it is so you can get a good camping spot. The downside is when getting out you will be at the back!!

This may change this year though, this is my 12th V yet i still never actually know.

Good luck enjoy the Fest.

well last year i went on the bus. and i camped on blue because it was close and we were lucky to find a place so just took it.

as for carparks i dont know as like i say i went on a bus!

BUT there were people that you could pay to carry your stuff.

people with trollies that would take your stuff to were you wanted to camp.

so if you got there early and discovered you was on the wrong car park. you could all put a bit of money in to get one of these people to carry your stuff!

i think it was £10 last year...i know it sounds a lot, but id defo pay it not to treck my stuff arround!

hope that helps
