Camping with a day ticket

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before, I didn't have much luck searching for it. My mate has a day ticket for the Saturday night, I am going for the whole weekend. I realise that it's not officially allowed, but is there anything to stop my mate kipping in my tent on the Saturday night? I don't remember anyone checking wristbands on entrance to the campsites from the arena in previous years.

As long as you're not in White campsite you should be fine.

Had a friend do it last year with no problem and have another friend planning on doing it Saturday this year.

I'm actually referring to Leeds, should have made it clear in the OP.

You'll probably be able to get away with it but...

I made the mistake (at reading) of doing so then trying to walk from one field to another (about 20 metres away) at 7am to go to the toilets - got stopped and kicked out, without letting me go back to tent and get my wallet, phone, day ticket for the following day or wife. The logical and polite approach to begin with and gradually more angry approach as I was removed and handed the same ejection form that thieves are given brought no result. Took me three hours to basically beg for change, find a pay phone, get hold of someone awake in the site and meet them by the gates. That was fun.
