Benj
Has anyone heard from mates on site, or are there now reading this?! If so whats it like, from Twitter it seems like wellies are a must, you never know if the people are actually there though, or simply Readingites sitting in their offices! Dukeeyyy
Leeds is fine, pi$$ed it down this morning, but is fine at the moment
jump
Apparently they've had to lower the Thames to stop the camp site flooding.
mrtourette
They did that last year as well.

eFestivals
Nice one! Is that in the campsites/ pedestrian way in as well as the arena? It didn't seem to rain too hard last night ( in London anyway) so I assume it will be ok and may risk trainers Someone let me know if this is dumb if you're in the camp site?!? I'm not on site but with the amount of rain that's forecast in the next 24 hours I'd say that trainers are dumb. Reading being Reading you shouldn't need wellies but waterproof footwear would be a smart idea I reckon. Captain Frogarm
It's f**king wet! Bring wellies and a snorkle
Vacant0
Wellies or boots for tomorrow anyone? Did ask my mate who is already there the same question and she replied with 'wellies all the way, maybe trainers if it dries up', which is just a tad contradictory... VCK
I live in Leeds and it's been miserable all day so can imagine it won't be too different in Bramham. Looking at Reading pics on Twitter the sun appears to be out although apparently it rained earlier on and it's muddy down there.
Englishdragon
I'm currently in the nme tent watching dfa1979. The whole arena is a mud bath. Been raining non stop since I got here at 9am

Englishdragon
Just got home (GF had a day ticket so I took her home and decided to go back tomorrow) The whole place is a mess, the worse I have ever seen leeds and borderline V2007 conditions
VCK
After looking at a few pictures on Twitter - just wow! Even during the great mudbath of 2008 when most of the site became a swamp, the arena was mostly dry. How did it get so muddy this year?
Chihiro Cheeks
2008 was nothing compared with this year. Even the main stage area and guest bar area are really muddy this year. Don't think i remember this much rain in one day at Leeds since 2000. Plus its so cold. Still loving the music though!
DJL
Waterproofed ankle high walking boots or wellies for reading? Looked v muddy yesterday but only ankle deep most places and i think it'll dry today? I'm leaving in an hour... Decisions decisions!
tolywoly
Chucked my wellies after Glastonbury as they were letting in. I'll buy a new pair on the way to the train station today. Cheers for the updates.
roflhoff
Leeds is pretty horrific... Popped home to pick up some stuff this morning, but it rained pretty much all the way through Muse and carried on after... Arena is a mudbath. Definitely grab a pair of wellies!!! VCK
The annoying thing is, it will stay muddy the whole weekend even if it's sunny today and tomorrow just because of the amount of people churning the mud by walking through. And it's worse than 2008? It's that bad?
Englishdragon
2008 was a desert compared to this. Main stage has has hay put down and is fine but it's getting there, the entire arena is just terrible. Bit of a shambles that they have done nothing about it really
Chihiro Cheeks
Yeah miles worse than 2008. to be honest there was only the walk to the campsites i remember been bad that year. This year everywhere is a mud bath. Worst Leeds I've seen in terms of mud and weather. Its such an effort to walk anywhere!
Vacant0
Reading is fine - its muddy but boots will do rather than wellies, very easy to avoid the bad bits - trainers would be be a bit silly though. Big up to arsehole security btw - thanks for searching me for no particular reason and threatening me as I'm just trying to leave the f**king festival and catch my train. 5co77ie
It'll be walking boots not wellies for me at Reading today - it was pretty much compacted mud most places last night
Chihiro Cheeks
Sounds like Leeds def got it worse!-
