Cambridge Rock Festival 2012, 2nd - 5th August

Well ... as I've literally only just got back home from a totally bl**dy excellent CRF 2011 followed by an extra few weeks enjoying other delights in East Anglia and haven't even unpacked yet, the Good News ^TM that has appeared on The Official CRF Website has even managed to catch me out a bit ! Not only is CRF 2012 confirmed as going ahead (which was announced at the end of this years festival in any case) but dates and ticket prices are now up and tickets actually went on sale officially as of 0900 hours yesterday morning. My tickets are of course safely in the bag now needless to say

CRF 2012 will take place on 2nd - 5th August at the excellent Haggis Farm venue again which is around 3 miles from Cambridge city centre and rail station, 30 minutes from Stanstead Airport and just a couple of hundred metres from Junction 12 of the M11. This years festival featured over 120 bands across 4 stages, an arts and crafts marquee, children's entertainment, a good variety of food, craft and record stalls as well as more than 70 different real ales from a variety of UK breweries plus keg beer/lager and various cider, perry, wine and soft drinks being served in the well stocked bars. The Main and Second Stage are both all-weather stages in massive marquees, each with it's own bar, with the 2 smaller outdoor and/or partly covered stages running between artistes on the Main and Second Stages. So no matter what Mr.Weather decides to chuck at us on the day, a great time is pretty much guaranteed and mud will almost certainly be in *very* short supply as per usual ! An after hours bar and acoustic stage is available for those happy campers who are not ready to call it a night when the festival stages close at around midnight. Dogs are also welcome providing that they're kept on a lead and well looked after by their owners of course.

Ticket prices start from only £75 for a Full Festival Supersaver adult ticket providing entry to all 4 days of the Festival. Camping tickets start from £25 with caravan/camper tickets from £50. Individual day or evening tickets and U16 tickets etc. are also available if required. If you live in or around Cambridge or perhaps just fancy a weekend break in the area then please also check out the local gigs and CRF Springfest (all generally held at The Arkenstall Centre, Haddenham, CB6 3XD) for a variety of gigs taking place between now and CRF 2012.

There's not really anything else to say about CRF 2012 just now of course but much more info including any good rumours and self-confirmations or sneaky details of any new stuff will get posted below in due course.
