Interesting, this. Obviously without any further details or knowing the venue we can't assume too much - smaller cousin taking the festival back to its outset roots, EOTR values applied to a different musical core or an attempt to widen the international bands window? It's the same weekend as Download, Isle Of Wight and Rock Ness, which isn't entirely helpful in determining its scope.

My guess: with a title half-inched from a Dylan song, and a lower price, it's maybe going to focus on folk/roots/Americana and with a smaller capacity. So say EoTR is at 8-10,000*, maybe this will be about 2-3000, and headlined by the sort of bands that might play 2nd or 3rd at EoTR. [end wild speculation ]

*we still don't know exactly; as I said in another thread, I heard "12000 people on site", which would include bands and staff.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and suggest that the reason behind the new festival is that the organisers will be able to book bands that are still touring, as they can't book certain bands in September as they've finished their touring for the summer by the time September rolls around.

I've never been to Welbeck but recall Bill Bryson writing about it's many tunnels and other mysteries in "Notes from a small island" - there may be some opportunities to engineer some entirely new magic here if the property's owners are agreeable.

There's some very good pubs around the Worksop area, if that matters to anyone !
