We did try a meet up at a bar a couple of years ago but most people couldn't be bothered to shift from camp. Should we try again, or will everyone find the flag? (Some people found it in the dark last year)

Organise it! Those that want will join in. Tall obvious flags are not always found in fairness (seriously).

I had to help someone find efest camp in Glasto last year. They had a nearby Chinese Food Tent, but had found the wrong one that's fifteen minutes away. So it's clear flags can be missed. That said, at 80m that flag above shouldn't be too missable. So long as it's put up sharpish.

Yes, obvious flags are not always that obvious. I never found the efests camp in Pennards at Glastonbury last year, when we passed by from the rural outskirts of Bailey's Field where we camped. Incidently, Bailey's was a top spot, although a bit of a trek to get into the centre of the site. We were near the entrance to the campervan field.

It includes the legendary Karl Powell camp, with whom we were going to play volleyball over the trees last year. Wonder if Live In Vehicles will grab his lot's spot again this year....

The site layout is still the same in terms of arena, campsite, live ins. But you'll find they have shaken the arena around a bit, to keep it intersting and improve the sound.

It'll seem so much closer when my ticket lands on my doormat, hopefully this week. just need the temperature to rise a bit, though on the bright side we'll have a great view of the stars at night if we have a cold high pressure area.

I'm giving this some serious thought but can't really afford it. Can someone please post something negative about the festival to put me off?

There doesn't seem to be an up to date one available so I've had to dig out last years.

I've not been before, can you go back out to your car after you are in? I've read it's only a 10 minute walk away from the car park so making a few trips to save on the heavy load may be an idea.
