Whilst in a toilet q

Boy (5, 6?) to mum 'I like sausages'

Mum 'You know they're filled with dead pig?'

Boy 'Yeahh!!'

She then proceeded to give him a 5 min 'talk' on vegetarianism

Just as I had woken up in my tent some time on Saturday morning.

Two ladies (?) in a tent next to me discussing the Friday night. One of them had had a 'blinding' night on the Friday in the disco, admitting to her mate that she was probably pretty pissed. I gathered from the tone of the conversation that she was 'older' given the apparent importance given to the reference to the fact that the guy who'd been chatting her up was 'only 22'. There were various pros and cons discussed to the evening but the immortal line 'I suppose I could have s**ked him off' wafted across the campsite.

2 Kids play fighting just outside the Big Top. The one on top comes out with the immortal "You're manky, and you know you're manky!"

1. Someone at the bar describing Kurt Vile to his mate ..... "Sounded like Mudhoney"

2. Security chaps discussing John Grant whilst he was playing ....."I Tell you mate that just sounds like someone bleedin yawning"

Walking down towards the arena entrance on Sunday behind four kids, all about 14 years old, all the way in trying to agree between them on what Bob Log III looked like. "It was like a spacesuit!"

after josh t pearsons mickey and minnie joke (if you haven't heard it, the double entendre punchline is he wants a divorce cos shes f***ing goofey), post the set walking back up the garden's and some some poor bloke is exasperatedly trying to explain this to his girlfriend why its funny "its because goofey is his friend".

15 minutes before Mogwai were due to start there was this guy making frantic public appeals to score some weed ... as if listening to Mogwai without being high was some kind of horror.

Just remembered also - not an overheard.

I was passing through the Rough Trade tent for a final time at about midnite +5 mins on the Sunday night. I noticed that the RT white board displaying band signing times had Josh Pearson down for 9.30 pm. The board also read

'The Rough Trade tent will close at midnight tonight or when Mr Pearson leaves the tent, whichever is the later.'

He was still in there chatting.
