The Pretenders would be brilliant. I was slightly gutted when Chrissie Hynde pulled out last year. Would they sub-headline do we think? I could see them going well under someone like Paul McCartney if he plays.

hmm would be a massive act for Latitude to get. It always looks a really nice festival, quite like the look of some of the non music things they have going on there as well.

How about New Order? They'd fit pretty well judging by last years line up.

I was thinking (and hoping for) New Order as well, Vince Power's booked them plenty of times in the past, and he's just booked them for Benicassim, are they popular enough to headline though ?

love them as much as i do, id have to say no. if your compare the line up from last year of international superstars/legendary acts id have to say new order fall just short of a headline slot i think more realistic would be sub headline or maybe 3ed from top but it would have to be a pretty good sub to make new order 3ed from top.

I think you could argue they are comparable to morrissey in terms of headlining? If he can I reckon they could.

i couldn't argue with you about Morrissey because to me he = god, I absolutely adore the man and his work.

also morrissey has kept touring and bringing out new material, some of witch i believe is possibly some of his finest work for many a year. were as iv heard very little from new order for a long time.

now if Ian Curtis was still alive and joy division were coming back (a bit like the stone roses) i think that would be very big.

Do the bookings at Vince's other festivals have any bearing on who may get booked here?
