Kendal Calling 2012

When will tickets be sold out do you think? It's just my mum is planning on taking my two younger sisters and I think she's booking a tent in the deer lodge or something too which is extra on top of the price of the ticket. I can't remember when they sold out last year but it seems more popular with people now

Hi this year will be our first year at kendal have been to leeds and v in the past but its all getting a little too pricey for the type of bands that are playing anyway just had a few questions that i hope someone can answer;

1. At v i normally park and then go straight to campsite and set up my tent THEN go to wristband exchange but i know some who Q with all their gear which i dont understand why they do that?! do i have to exchange first at kendal or can i set up my tent first??

2.we have bought our tickets in standard camping can i now buy thurs tickets as we have decided it might be easier to go then

got another question can i take my friends tent and set it up for them? looking forward to kendal not bothered about change in arena size v was getting boring and the line up for kendal calling is right up our street

Slightly off topic...... but someone mentioned Craig Charles earlier. Saw him at Wickerman last year and he was brilliant. For anyone interested he`s playing in Preston Saturday 24/3 - £12 a ticket. Looks like a student union type place so should be good. Here`s hoping he puts in a Kendal appearance.

Im gonna put myself together an ultimate kendal mix tape to convert and educate the missus and daughter as to some of the bands they'll hear at Kendal this year, sell me some suggestions as to which songs i should be putting on it, any genuine fans that can convert me or convince me to see their bands at kendal-

Enjoyed both their albums and i know theyre playing festivals this summer and headlining a few.

I would very much like Wind Up Birds to play there again...I had never heard of them until I saw them there for the first time 2 years ago...they blew me away and they are the best new band I've seen in the last 5 years (along with We Are Augustines).

Come on Kendal...get them on again!

cheers, that sounds good, i'll wait and see what the initial announcements like, cant imagine it'll be far away now.

i know its a bit poncy to quote yourselves, but the line up for solfests been announced and its about a million miles away from the kendal line up this year, big country, adam ant and kt tunstall look like the headliners. only ones announced so far that i wouldnt mind seeing are the bootleg beatles and theyre a tribute act !

i know its not all about the music so i'll still consider it, wether or not i wanna shell out over £300 on its a different matter though.

im still clinging to the idea that friendly fires may be playing, i know what youre saying about them being bigger than maximo at this point but i think theyre both headlining several festivals this year so maybes its true.
