I've been at mum's so have watched my first ever full episodes of Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife. Bloody hell, they really are tosh. Downton in particular felt almost like a parody of that type of show. I kept thinking of Acorn Antiques. -

Yeah it was a show that never really landed with me. I was out of the country when it was huge so it passed me by. I've seen the odd episode since, might have even seen a series, but never really got in to it and wasn't a part of everyone talking about it. Thought what I saw was fine but that's about it. -

LDP will be 2nd, GiR will be 3rd on bill. BST tends to only announce extra bands at the very last minute - rarely do you get any big names added unless the event isn't selling well and they need something to boost sales. Given OR gig is sold out, they could add a load of unheard names a few days before the event and be done with it. BST is all about making the biggest profit possible, hence why the follow-on announcements to the line-up are never as good as the first announcement. I imagine LDP and GiR will get a decent amount on time on stage so will still be a good event even if there is only one more band added to the main stage and four unknowns to the second stage. -

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. A predictable cliche ending, but I think that's what you need at the end of a weary Christmas.
