I reckon they'll be more likely for Black Sabbath or Metallica day than Prodigy day

Any day would suit me, but i think it is more likely Sat or Sunday or 2nd stage headliner.

Howard Jones has parted company with Killswitch Engage, but said they are carrying on without him.

I don't. If anywhere they will be at Sonisphere, either way there's no indication that Stone Sour will be touring.

Could Paramore sub The Prodigy or headline the 2nd stage on the Metallica or Black Sabbath days?

It's a possibility, but for some reason they don't seem to play festivals very often. I think they played DL in 07 and R+L in 10, but other than that they don't seem to have been about. I think they're the kind of band festivals will be reluctant to book as they'll demand a high slot yet be slated by a lot of people.

I'm not a fan (they were dire at Leeds) but I'd prefer them playing compared to a lot of other bands that are always touring.

Andy didnt want to book them as headliner but im sure he would love them on the bill somewhere, maybe Soni would take a punt on them as headliner, Saturday headliner, would shift a load of day tickets to teenagers, then Paramore could do TITP same weekend.

When I saw Paramore on tour it was FULL of kids, and maybe Andy questions their strength with his audience for the money/slot they would command?

Everything at the end of May/ beginning of June, so little chance for Sonisphere

Week later than I expected but when we hadn't heard anything this week I guessed it would be the following Monday, falls pretty much bang smack in the middle of the month

I know festivals risk getting slated but they didn't go down well at R+L and I get the impression that AC would like a year without being slated for the line-up.

Festival organiser's will always get slated no matter what who they choose because its impossible to get a line up that everyone who is going will love with every band they want to see. In my opinion i think The Prodigy are awful and i don't see why they should headline with Black Sabbath and Metallica because those bands i love. However i'm taking it as he is trying something different to stop people complaining about the same headliners being recycled year after year.

MCR was 07 i think, they are a strange group really, Download hated them - Leeds/Reading seem to love them and when it comes to the polls in kerrang etc they are always high up, last 2011 poll they were top live band? Gerard Way best male etc plus loads of other categories, so they are either popular? or just media popular?
