re more metal and rock, the festival has a winning formula at the moment no need to change, if they did theyd be dislodging bands to make space for something current punters largely dont want

We are xl camping. Our Eurostar is pretty early so may have a lot of time to kill (i.e. drinking time) before we are allowed into the campsite anyway.

You seem to be missing the point entirely, which was really what I was saying in my last point with people getting offended at the mere suggestion of metal bands. I never said anything about turning Werchter into a metal festival!

For the record, Download is not a metal festival and I like the variety that it has there, which is why I have been every year since it started.

Judging from previous years, Werchter has some very diverse lineups and isn't afraid to mix it up with many genres (including metal bands). My real point is that no other type of music gets the "GO TO A METAL FESTIVAL" style reaction when it suggested there could be a few more bands from the genre.
