how is the atmosphere? last year I have been to sziget festival and it has been amazing, not many crazy people but very entertaining, very lively! some has told me that the Werchter is for dull people -.- I want to be sure before buy the ticket!

Werchter a festival for dull people? not at all.

In my opinion the atmosphere is good. I went to Glastonbury last year and of course the atmosphere is better over there but Werchter isn't bad at all. If you drink a bit and if you love the music you'll have a great time.

Was really hoping that Nightwish may be back.

I think they may just squeeze it in to their tour.

There is nothing going on at Werchter except for the music and the people is very very relaxed. I know what you're talking about and I can easily see why anyone could find this festival dull but in my three times there i've had a great time...but then again I was in a large group with a lot of people. Dull or not, I love this festival...the music is not always my kind, to much pop...but I love the festival itself.

The line-up is very average this year so far. dEUS, Snow Patrol and Elbow co-headlining? REALLY? ...I'm hoping for a really strong undercard.

Theres no way dEUS or Elbow will be co-headliners.....RW will throw some more big names into the mix soon no doubt! hope theres an announcment soon!

They are officially confirmed as co-headliners.

Keep in mind this is a belgian festival. Taste and popularity may differ from what you are used to.

That's why Kasabian will play in the afternoon and dEUS will be found on top of the poster.

It's true, they are co-headliners. That's why I'm hoping for a really strong undercard because apart from Pearl Jam, the headliners and co-headliners are very average.

I found I preferred RW to Glastonbury, just an all round better experience. I went in 2008 and found it was definitely more organised, better facilities and a better atmosphere. Obviously the Sat headliner at Glasto is always a boss experience but I just all round enjoyed myself better at Rock Werchter. As most acts I wanted to see didn't start til 4, we tended to get the shuttle bus back into Leuven (sp?) and jump on one of the trains into Holland for the day. Took in Rotterdam, Utrecht and Amsterdam and always made it back in time. Plus as Stella is brewed nearby it tastes so much nicer then the stuff in England! Big thumbs up for RW.

Will still be a quality weekend though!! im looking forward to it!I agree with you strev....ive done a lot of english festivals, but RW was better than all of them last year....and better than Benicassim. Had a great time
