ciao,

i’m antonio, from rome, italy. next year me and my friends will hopefully have our first electric picnic. Having been only to glastonbury, i’d like to know something more about EP. if you could help me i got a few questions:

1) how big is the festival site? i mean, is it a long walk from stage to stage and from arena to camping?

2) me and my wife we’ll have with us our 3 year old son. any tips? is the family camping any good? we’d like to camp with our friends: is it ok to camp in general area with a baby?

3) is it possible to rent any facility to ‘carry’ children around the site?

4) how’s the weather usually in that period? is it very cold at night?

5) how’s the food?

6) does exist a ‘cancellation’ policy on tickets? i mean, like the one for glasto where you can cancel your ticket untill may.

thank you very much to everyone who will help.

see you there next year

Hi there Antonio. Good choice of festival Sir!

Hopefully the following will be useful to you;

1. Depending on where you are camped, its 5 to 10 minute walk from campsite to the arena. Once inside, you'll find the arena ALOT smaller than Glastonbury. There is one outdoor stage (Main Stage) and several other stages in tents dotted around. It's probably no more than a five minute walk between stages and you could walk the length of the arena in about 10 minutes.

2. I would definitely recommend Family Camping if you are taking your son! It has it's own car park and entrance, and exclusive access to a kid's play area. I camped there this year with my son and it was very well stewarded and very quiet at night. We felt safe and secure and extremely well looked after!

3. I don't think it's possible to rent anything to carry children around, though I may be wrong.

4. It's Ireland, so there's always a chance of rain! It does get cold at night, so i recommend taking a jumper and raincoat with you at all times!

5. Food is excellent (although can be quite expensive!). Probably on a par with what you can get at Glastonbury, and plenty of variety.

6. They don't, as far as i know, run a deposit scheme where you can get your money back. There is an instalment scheme where you can pay over a few months though.

Hope you can make it next year, it really is an excellent festival. I will be making the trip from the UK for my 6th visit!
