Coldplay to headline V Festival 2012?!

I've just checked Coldplay tour plans next year.

Weekend before V Festival, 11 August 2012: Coldplay are at St Paul, MN - USA

Weekend after V Festival, 28 August 2012: Coldplay are at Copenhagen - Denmark

Hopefully this means V Festival in between!! C'mon!!! As well as that, Neil has them listed on the V rumours!

I'll be well chuffed if it's Coldplay headlining with the Stone Roses (TBC). C'mon!!!!!! feVer!!!!

This means nothing really, Foo Fighters amongst other bands have played V Festival over there but not played the UK one, in fact I would say it means that it is less likely.

wouldnt take much interest unless its down as strong rumour, probably because they are around and wont do r&l.

but have v ever had a headliner that have done a full stadium tour that summer? dont know the answer and cant be bothered to research it.

Foo Fighters headlining V in 2007 or 2008.. i'm not entirely sure which one.

I think Coldplay are pretty much shoe ins too headline to be honest.

Yeah just seen Coldplay have been removed. Gutted. I was really hoping they'd be back this year. Not been on at V since 2003. Noel's been added though

So if Coldplay are definitely out of the line up picture, that leaves us with The Killers and The Stone Roses? Pretty poor.
