Does anyone know how much the price increase is?

I would appreciate a reply to see if it's worth buying it now or waiting until I have a bit more money :P

We have decided to make this our first abroad festival and I can't wait. We are going via Amsterdam which seems like a slightly odd way of doing it but it makes it more of a holiday :D

Evening all!

Been hunting for info about RaR/RIP for the last half hour or so. Glad to have found this forum; in English!

Anyway, there's a group of us planning on going to RiP this year from Scotland. Just have a few questions...

  1. Best/cheapest place to fly to/from? Best way to get there in general really?

  2. Tickets and pricing. They're currently at 155 Euro from the official website. Just read that they go up on the 15th? Can anyone confirm? How much by?

  3. When is the festival site open?

  4. Is there an equivalent to an early bird ticket?

Cheers in advance! :D

I've never been but there is a group of us going from Scotland to Rock am Ring this year...

As I said earlier we don't know if it's better but actually going to Newcastle then Amsterdam (via ferry) then getting the train to Koblenz is the route we are going. It's obviously longer and much more time consuming but we fancy a night in Amsterdam on our way to Germany.

This route is actually cheaper than flying (as far as we could work out) and sounds like a laugh.

Even if you do fly there (Frankfurt) you still need to get the train to Koblenz and there is a shuttle bus to Rock am Ring there.

No idea about Rock im Park though :/

The festival site opens on the Wednesday but I have heard you are allowed to camp there before then but it's probably better to get someone else to confirm this for sure.

The Early bird tickets sold out last year so it's just the tickets on sale now and however much they rise by on the 15th.

Hope this actually helps you out a little, this forum isn't too busy :D

From the 16th January the ticket price for Rock am Ring increases to 175 euros, - and for Rock im Park to 160 euros, this price includes any fees, camping and parking, and a repayable 5 euro garbage deposit. The new price level will be valid until 15 March.

I don't know the name of the area where we've camped the last couple of years, but it's down a bit of a hill (where if you come out of the arena bit, you turn right as you're coming towards that row of pubs). Down there was nice and lively, a lot of big tents with massive sound systems playing music all night. I think that's where I'll be heading to again this year, not too far from the arena and plenty going on :) it's near the showers as well, although I don't use them while I'm there ;)

B5 is the big green camping to the right:

I have been looking around at youtube and several german forums (with google translate) and they all seems to agree that B5 is the camp of choice if you want to party all night long :)

Sorry for bad english im from Sweden

I am going there with my GF aswell and we are going there on tuesday already, only D0-D09 and B5 camps are open that day, atleast it was that last year

Shit, I'm gutted!! Was really looking forward to this one but didn't realise that tickets would sell out so quick!! Does anyone know of a reliable site where I can get a couple of tickets? Even if they cost more then the original cost price! Thanks :)
