Me and my mate are well keen for Rock am Ring and are looking at buying tickets off Viagogo. The only issue we have are the logistics of getting there. Whats usually the deal for getting there from the UK? We're in South Wales and haven't got a clue how to travel. Any advice would be outstanding.

I've been to Rock Am Ring twice so far, once we got a coach to Cologne from London, took fucking ages! Like 15 hours each way, and the other time we flew to Cologne/Bonn, it's quite convienent to fly as it's only like an hour on the plane.

How we are doing it this year, is flying out from London on the Tuesday, spend a night in Cologne drinking in their amazing pubs, then head to Koblenz on the Weds morning to get the coach to the festival, pretty much the reverse on the way back!

Went a couple years ago, as far as I remember bands keep playing till around 3am. And there is some stuff going on after, not huge amounts but something.

Got my tickets today, me, my brother and my friend are going.

Anyone using Argon Events coach package? I used them last time and I am using them again.

There's a tent near the arena where they play rock music and I think there's a bar in there too... I've never been in there because it's always been packed when I've been walking past, it looks good though! Also, last year we went to this place across from the pubs near the arena entrance, I guess it was a club. It was on the Thursday evening and a Rage Against the Machine cover band was playing in there until quite late, was awesome!

There is a party tent of sorts, on Friday and Sat the music don't stop till 3am! Proper insanity!

I'm getting the eurostar out on the Tuesday, flying back the following Tuesday. Any questions? Feel free to hit me up, this is my third Rock AM Ring.

I haven't done the bungee yet, you got any more info on this? I'm prob not able to do this with being a fat bastard and all.

I think it's a 60 foot bungee, think it cost about 60€ but don't hold me to that... I'm not sure if there's a weight restriction but one of the lads with us last year is a bit on the heavy side and he was able to do it, they made him a custom harness out of two smaller harnesses. It's well worth looking in to, it's an amazing experience!

im arriving to frankfurt-hahn at tuesday noon and going to spend the night in koblenz. will try to catch the first shuttle bus to rar on wednesday.

Hope everyone has an awesome festival! I leave Devon at 5.30 am tomorrow for a massive 11 hour car and ferry journey to Rock am Ring! So excited right now!

I'm starting to plan my trip next year. I want the cheapest option available.

I like the idea of Argon Events, where a coach would pick me up from Manchester, drive me to dover, then get a ferry etc.... long journey though, only problem with that is you have to go on the Thursday!

Any other reliable sites like this?

And does anyone know when tickets for 2013 go on sale? I don't want to miss out!
