Good to see Trowbridge back on the festivals calendar, albeit with new organisers on a new site with a smaller capacity than the old one. The old Trowbridge was always one of my favourite festivals of the year and so I wish the new organisers well and hope they can re-create the old Trowbridge atmosphere.

The site is, I can safely say, the best site in the area - brilliant views, woods and river walks, easily accessible and absolutely rural - no industr

y in the area. There is folk there (as in the days of the "old" Trowbridge Pump) but this festival is about so much more - dancey stuff, trad stuff, swing, Klezmer, hoedown, rock-a-billy, R&B ( old school), family friendly, late night areas, quiet areas, funkier and with a broader appeal, Trowbridge Festival is set to be one of the festivals of the summer. Tickets are £95, 11-16 half price and under 11's are free!! So please do like & share

My earlier comment referred to the Trowbridge Village Pump Festival in mid-July and not the other Trowbridge Festival in early August. I must admit the fact there's now two Trowbridge Festivals confused me somewhat... and will probably confuse others as well. I assume Flounder's Trowbridge (the August one) is a replacement of sorts for Endorse It In Dorset which isn't happening this year. Anyway, I wish both events well. It's good to know Flounder (Mr. Stripey Jumper) is still organising festivals instead of putting his feet up with a bag of popcorn and watching the Olympics!
